I try not to eat here as I live up the block and end up here OFTEN. It is a constant go to as the breakfast burrito (carne asada, sausage or bacon) is amazing, possibly the best in Ventura. It gives Corrales a serious run and let me know where you think is better because I've been to all of the spots.
Their regular burritos are just as good, carne asada, again a standout. I literally have to meal plan so I don't end up here.
Go to Maggies, get the red salsa (there's family history behind it) and you will not be disappointed.
Worth driving a little distance for. -

THE BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS!
Try the Mexican breakfast burrito!
Been coming here for years! It's just as good as it was when I was a kid. Hands down best Mexican food off The Avenue! -

I followed other Yelp advice and called my order in 15 minutes before. I called it in when I was just on Ventura Avenue driving the 3 miles to Maggie's. I picked up my order from a pickup order window that's outside. They do have indoor seating. The place looks very clean. I ordered the chicken veggie w/sour cream burrito and chili relleno burrito. The burrito comes open at the top. I don't like those kind of wraps it just doesn't feel like a proper burrito with one end open. Nonetheless, the burrito was excellent. Fresh onions were inside, but not too many. The cheese was cheddar and it was melted. Perfect amounts of beans and rice. The veggies were perfectly tender and noteworthy. The tortilla was NOT grilled, but perfectly blistered. Great burritos Maggie's! The hot salsa is better than the mild; it seems to have more flavor and a bit of a kick. I would give 5 stars if the burrito was closed on both ends because it's important to me and I am always searching for "my" perfect burrito. This is pretty close to perfect. I haven't eaten the other burrito yet. My dinner tomorrow night!

Back in the day they catered to a specific crowd that wanted to grab and eat but to me the idea of an open burrito doesn't work because I want to take it home and reheated. The open burrito doesn't work if you are taking to go.

Great place to get a awesome lunch on a nice day. Been going to Maggie's for over 20+ years. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. Excellent service. One of the workers is my neighbor, shes a very nice lady, she's always very friendly and neighborly
